The Internet is a great resource for finding spa jobs. Estheticians, massage therapists, and skin care professionals can find plenty of opportunities online. Following are some useful sites that list job vacancies and post job seekers’ resumes.
Best Spa Jobs lists jobs under various fields including esthetician, massage therapist, spa director, spa receptionist, and spa management. This website is presented by Spa & Resort Expo. For $95 for 60 days, employers can post jobs and reach the widest audience of spa professionals and job seekers on the Web. Job seekers can post their positions on this website as well. A registration process is required.
This website gives information about the latest spa and resort expositions and also features a monthly newsletter called SpaTalk. The newsletter keeps you updated on the latest news and trends in the spa and resort industry.
The Day Spa Association serves as a resource for day spa professionals through educational seminars and workshops, research studies, publications, and Internet information exchanges. Spa employers can e-mail their vacancies to the Day Spa Association Employment Bank. Also, each month the association recognizes an individual who has made a significant contribution to the spa industry. Applicants can apply for this position. The site also has a classified section that advertises investor services and office space.

The contact information of the different offices is given online.
Visit this site to peruse thousands of hospitality jobs, free. It is a large database of fresh hospitality career opportunities. You can search for jobs both within the United States and overseas. They are classified under management jobs and nonmanagement jobs.

For example, if you click “estheticians,” you get a listing of applicants who have registered their resume and qualifications on the website. It is a fast and easy way for spa owners and estheticians to hire qualified personnel.

The SpaTrade website advertises jobs online. Click on “marketplace” and you will find that jobs are advertised both for applicants and employers. It also publishes recent news on spa happenings, the latest trends on spa management, the types of spa treatments in high demand, and information on pain management. Click under the library heading and you will find useful information on how to find a career as an esthetician, spa director, etc., as well as information like management and operations, finances, greening the spa industry (how to make your spa environmentally friendly), spa equipment, hiring practices, and expanding your spa business. The SpaTrade website also gives a calendar of events that is useful to estheticians.
Employers can post job openings at the SpaWire Career Board. It is a good site for hunting jobs and is user-friendly. Job seekers must respond directly to the contact persons listed within each job posting. Do not contact SpaWire as the website does not forward resumes or answer questions about job postings. The content of posts for job openings is the sole responsibility of the potential employer. Employers wishing to post a job opening may do so for a nominal fee ($4.50 per month).
