Offering skin care advice to your clients can often be frustrating because of the multitude of cosmetics and pharmaceuticals available and because of the great diversity of skin types and conditions. Bottom Line Health has compiled a few suggestions for overall skin health that we all can benefit from: Get enough vitamin A from foods like papaya, cantaloupe, carrots, and spinach; improve circulation through exercise, sweat bathing (saunas), yoga, massage, and skin brushing; get more omega-3 fatty acids, found in fish, flax, and borage; and try botanical medicines with anti-inflammatory properties. And finally, hydrate your skin how nature intended — drink plenty of water.
